Simona Eisinger is an Austrian freelance soprano with Slovak roots. Since her debut in 2007 at the Stadttheater Baden she has given guest performances at opera houses and theatres, such as Volksoper Wien, Theater an der Wien, Neue Oper Wien, Theater in der Josefstadt, Landestheater Linz, Stadttheater Klagenfurt, Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz, the Munich Chamber Opera, Theater Luzern, as well as at festivals, such as OsterKlang, Opernfestspiele St. Margarethen, jOpera Schloss Tabor, Oper Klosterneuburg, Herbsttage Blindenmarkt and Sommerfestival Schloss Kittsee.
At the beginning her repertoire comprised soubrette roles, such as Ännchen (Weber: Freischütz), Frasquita (Bizet: Carmen), Despina (Mozart: Cosi fan tutte), Silberklang (Mozart: Schauspieldirektor), Olympia (Offenbach: Les Contes d’Hoffmann), Maria (Krenek: Kehraus um St. Stephan), Bronislawa (Millöcker: Der Bettelstudent) and Franzi (Straus: ein Walzertraum).
Now she feels comfortable with lyric soprano roles, such as Konstanze (Mozart: Entführung), Pamina and 1.Dame (Mozart: Zauberflöte), Lauretta (Puccini: Gianni Schicht), Gretel (Humperdinck: Hänsel und Gretel), Ninetta (Rossini: Diebische Elster), as well as Sylva Varescu (Kalman: Csardasfürstin) and Hansi (Stolz: Die Frühjahrsparade).
In addition to her opera work Simona Eisinger also is a devoted concert and oratorio soloist. She has performed concerts and recitals in major concert halls, such as Wiener Musikverein and Konzerthaus, Philharmonie Gasteig in Munich, Konserthuset in Stockholm, Musiikkitalo in Helsinki, Tokyo Opera City Hall among others - together with well-known orchestras, such as Wiener Philharmoniker, NÖ Tonkünstler, Beethoven Philharmonie, Wiener Johann Strauss Orchester, Schloss Schönbrunn Orchester, Strauss Capelle Wien.
The soprano worked already with internationally known artists, such as Brigitte Fassbaender, Edita Gruberova, Angelika Kirchschlager, Christian Gerhaher, Rainer Trost, Paul-Armin, Edelmann, Emmy Werner, Christof Loy, Herbert Föttinger, Florian Teichtmeister, Bobby Herzl, Marc Albrecht, Johannes Wildner, Christoph Campestrini and Alfred Eschwé.
Simona Eisinger grew up in Vienna, where she studied voice and obtained in 2008 a master’s degree at “Konservatorium Wien Privatuniversität” (MUK). She attended master classes with Brigitte Fassbaender, Edita Gruberova, Helmut Deutsch, Julius Drake among others and has received further coachings by Brigitte Fassbaender and Edith Lienbacher.
In addition to her musical studies Simona Eisinger obtained a degree in International Business Management from the University of Economics and Business Administration in Vienna.
As a singer Simona Eisinger twice won prizes at the Vienna Fidelio Competition and the International Franz Lehar Operetta Competition. She also received a scholarship of the Armin-Weltner-Foundation of Zurich.
At an early age she was trained as a dancer in ballett, jazz and tap dance, and won awards in Latin-American dance tournaments.
